A crucial but simple step in the networking process yet one that many people forget in the excitement of connecting/swapping cards and sharing stories.

It is the essential first step towards building a successful ongoing business relationship when networking, do you do what you said you were going to do? 

Deliver on your promise:

1. Send that LinkedIn connection request
2. Add them to your group on Facebook
3. Send the link to what you were discussing
4. Make the introduction
5. Email the date options for your follow up coffee

It is all very well to have a stack of cards, a bunch of connections, but the value is in the time that you have invested into building the relationships and in doing what you say you will, when you say you will. This is the Trust part of the the Like, Know and Trust model the foundation of relationship building the world over!
