How do you get productive and maintain control of your valuable time living in a world full of distractions?
Your phone keeps alerting you with notifications and news updates. Your emails flow in thick and fast. There is always a new training webinar or system for you to try out.
It’s no wonder we can’t focus and complete our daily tasks.
Every Tuesday I will share 3 Tips to help you increase your Productivity, some you will like, some you won’t. Your key to success and ruthless productivity is to do more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
The amazing thing about the human race is that EVERYONE is different, and has a unique approach…do what works for you!
This week’s tips are focused helping you to create your productive mindset for success, from the minute you wake up.
1. Start as you mean to go on
Get up earlier, in the ‘golden hours’ before the world has really woken up you will achieve your most productive work. It will feel very uncomfortable getting up earlier for the first few days, but you will quickly fall into a new habit. It helps if you also start going to bed earlier.
2. Create a morning routine
Do what works for you, trust your nature, you know best. Do you want to exercise, read, meditate, work, try a few different activities, times and orders and pretty soon you will create the routine that works for you. Understand that this is unique to you. I have tried forcing myself into other peoples, and now have an approach that works for me.
3. Ignore the news
Reviewing the daily news can become a job in itself. The idea that we need to keep up to date on the news is largely outdated. Most of what passes as news today is trivial, depressing, unreliable and unbelievably biased. If something major happens, you’ll find out one way or another. Instead, focus your attention on what’s useful and actionable in your life, work out where you can go to get reliable newsworthy information that will help you grow your business and maintain good faith in the world at large.
